a note of knowledge if you want to add more games to the sega genesis flashback 2018 model version and want to add more games you have to download it from some website but when you put to the sd card take out the .img extension so that when you put into your system it should allow you to update your firmware then you could add more games later because they dont have the 2018 model update on their website just helpful hints

Hi. Nice bits of trivia about this classic. I'm confused why though you say the master system port features no axe at all in the game, when Death Adder is the one weilding the axe. I never understood why in the arcade version Gillius wielded the golden axe? The game is about claiming the Golden axe back from Death Adder who previously stole it and used its power to rule over the land. Yet you start the game with it as Gillius. Be funny if you choose Gillius and the moment the first screen loads, The End appears followed by credits 😂

There are a handful of other games influenced by it. Airmech is probably the closest thing to a sequel or updated version of the game. Though there is an obscure pc game called cyber wing released in 2009. Herzog Zwei still is an incredible game, really game the genesis something comparable to a PC wargame, but with the mech action to keep it from being too dry. Good review.

I had this game back in the day I think 88 . I restarted my master system collection few years back. Still 30+ away from completion of US games. Wasn’t a big fan of this game I did beat it. Tried to sell or trade this game to my high school buddy’s but they all refused lol I may try this game again someday and see if I still feel the same. Still great nostalgia for me .

It's A Ripper , , , it copied your cartridge , it ripped it ,a notorious ROM dumper , , ,your first red flag clue is that it says it offers ""translation patches"" it can ONLY patch a rom not a cartridge , , , the console with the SD card is totally worth it , , just drag and drop MegaDrive/Genesis roms to the GAME folder on the SD Card ( it does best with Euro roms , and some interesting hack roms , ""Mortal Kombat-2 Unlimited"" comes to mind , , , on the SD card you can basically load Entire Genesis Library in ROM form ,so no need to endanger your vintage cartridges , , , , ) the at games HD systems are rom Rippers , , , however the earlier "smaller" AT Games Firecore Sega consoles are only game " readers" basically safe for your cartridges and NO dumping 💩👻 but the Firecore consoles music is deliberately a pitched down , , ,but that's fine with me , , , the sound is staggering better on the HD versions though , , ,👍👍👽
